Wendy Huang created Artivity Finder as a way of counselling others to cope using different forms of art therapy. Wendy is a BC Registered Clinical Counsellor and an Art Therapist and runs several programs both in person and online.
As a female entrepreneur, one of Wendy’s major challenges was to undergo training and prepare for her first business, all while working full-time in Canada’s government public service sector. Now that she’s ready with her business, she needed to establish her brand and digital presence. She came to pixel human for help with branding and website solutions so that she could start marketing during the fall and winter of 2022 for her art therapy programs in 2023.
Our branding solution was simple because Wendy already had a pretty good idea of the message she wanted her logo to represent: using art as a means to overcome and succeed in life’s challenges. Our team of designers prepared several concepts that represented what Wendy had in mind and narrowed it down to the current design: Dripping paint representing art and creativity; a road to represent the path to success, and the letter “A” for Artivity Finder. The letter A also resembles a mountain, illustrating the challenges that we must overcome in life’s journey.
With our extensive experience in web solutions, we helped Wendy to set up her web hosting, and to plan the content, UI design, development and deployment of the Artivity Finder programs website. We took Wendy and her beautiful, artistic and creative daughter to do a studio photo session for the website photos. (Big thanks to @721studio for allowing us to use this beautiful space and to @mayowill for the amazing photography.) Wendy offers her services in both English and Chinese so we developed the website and polished the content in both languages. We are excited for Wendy’s business venture and wish her and her clients all of the best benefits that art therapy brings.
