The 2017/18 season marked the 15th anniversary of the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra, so this year we wanted to give the VMO some branding for their 15th year. We designed a 15th Anniversary logo which linked the 1 and the 5 with an infinity-like strand to represent the ongoing success of the orchestra.
To make this season even more special, the VMO wanted to sport some 15th Anniversary gear including a t-shirt and a couple of pins. To design the t-shirt, we designed a sketch-style cityscape of Vancouver surrounded by orchestral instruments in front of the 15th Anniversary logo that we designed. To accessorise with some pins, we helped the VMO to design some pins featuring the VMO logo and Maestro Ken Hsieh, with the #ilovevmo hashtag used on social media. As a non-profit organization, these pins and t-shirts helped raise funds for the VMO to support their mandate of supporting young musicians in their musical careers.
The VMO 15th Anniversary Opening Concert was a huge success, and our team is grateful to have had the opportunity to design the marketing campaign for this memorable season. From the print to the digital designs, the event launched smoothly and was well-received by both the audience and its many supporters.
